Hi I'm Karen Johnson

I love playing sports, discovering, and being a Mormon!

About Me

I am a junior in college studying biochemistry. I enjoy golfing, hiking, skiing, hip hop, and comedy. You can usually find me volunteering at health, science, and random events (if free food or a t-shirt is involved, just kidding…well half kidding), or quizzing students on organic chemistry. I love learning about the human body processes; our bodies are ridiculous! And most importantly, I love living the Gospel and helping others grow.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, so it was natural for me to live in the culture. A couple of years ago I wasn’t sure if this was what I wanted to stick with. Even though I wasn’t making the best choices, for some reason I consistently read my scriptures and prayed each night. Eventually, I discovered that I was generally happier and felt more purpose when I chose to follow Christ and accept the truths presented, rather than continuing to doubt and trying to take the easy way out, since that was not productive. Since then, I have been making more efforts to come closer to Christ and do our Heavenly Father’s will because I know serving him and others will ultimately lead me to true happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to do the best that I can every day, as well as realtime repentence. I read my scriptures each night, pray, keep the commandments, and rely on the Lord for help.
