Hi I'm Linda

I'm a mother and grandmother. I taught public school children ages 6 -12 for 26 years. I love to travel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to spend time with my children and my grandsons who live near me. I like to watch them learn and grow. They are so enthusiastic about almost everything. My husband and I enjoy traveling all over the world. The beauties of nature refresh me. The beauties of people and places inspire gratitude in me. I try to look for the positive in circumstances. I have done acrylic and oil painting, only for my own viewing.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were members of the church, but I consider myself a convert because I have received my own conversion through answers to prayers and visitations from the Holy Ghost. God has a plan for us to return to Him after we have spent time here on the earth learning how to choose. Most of my choices have to do with whether to be selfish or to serve others. Serving others is one way I can serve God and return love to Him. Reading The Book of Mormon motivates me to improve my thoughts and my actions which are also choices I must make daily. I know I am a better person than I would otherwise be because I have chosen a life based on Christ's teachings.

How I live my faith

I pray daily and often. I know the Lord is always available to listen to my concerns and help me. I can ask Him to bless others and guide me to be a blessing in others' lives. I read in the scriptures almost daily. I especially love The Book of Mormon. It helps me understand the Bible. My calling is to be a visiting teacher. Doing visiting teaching gives me opportunities to serve like Christ did. I attend church meetings on the Sabbath and go to the temple during the month. Repentance is very important to me. I know I'm imperfect and must continue to overcome my temptations. I realize that repentance was made possible for me by my Savior, Jesus Christ.
