Hi I'm Gissel

I was born and raised in Georgetown, Guyana. I love the restored gospel and I'm a proud Mormon!

About Me

I'm a divorced/single mother of 3 daughters. I love nature walks, cooking, listing to music and meeting people I'm currently an ACCA student.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a Catholic. When I was 14 years old I saw a wonderful video of the savior that was during the Lent season. That video stirred my heart and at the end of the video there was the name "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and there was an offer for a free bible. I tried desperately to find the church but I couldn't, I prayed for the opportunity to know more about this church. Five years later the missionaries came to my home to teach me the gospel, I was elated to know my prayers were answered. I prayed for a testimony of the truth and I promised my Heavenly Father that if I knew of a surety the gospel is true I would embrace it with all my heart. I gained a powerful testimony after reading the Book of Mormon. I accepted the gospel and I faithfully keep my baptismal covenants. I was blessed to be married and sealed for time and all eternity. Though I'm currently a single mother I live and love the gospel. Being a member of the church has been a great privilege and blessing. I'm happy my siblings are all members of the church and my daughters have the wonderful opportunity to grow in the gospel. Heavenly father lives and loves all his children and answers every heartfelt prayer, Jesus is the Christ and I know we are lead by a living Prophet I know the gospel is true; I live these truths everyday and that's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my my faith by following the Savior's example and serving others.
