Hi I'm Leanne

I'm a mormon, a wife, a mother and a nurse.

About Me

I enjoy life. I love my family with all my heart. All together we are blessed with one son and 3 daughters. Life is never boring. :) My husband and I enjoy riding 4 wheelers and football. We also have 2 dogs and a cat and our dogs love when the missionaries visit and they are usually covered in fur by the time they leave. Lol!!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Baptist church but as an adult, I always felt something was missing in my church. When I married, my husband said he was mormon but was attending a local Baptist church with me and my family. I was very interested in the LDS church because he told me how families can be together forever and it was very evident how much he loved his family. One day the missionaries came when I was home alone and I started my lessons. I felt such peace and love when they came to our home. I was completely floored when they asked me if I wanted to be baptized into the church. It was certainly one of the happiest moments of my life. :) I immediately began preparing and found that it is so much easier to live my faith constantly as I study the Book of Mormon and apply the principles that I learn. I have never been happier and although this year, our family has faced some very difficult times, my faith has grown tremendously and I have witnessed many miracles in our family. I can see that I more aware of the promptings of the Holy Spirit and I am very glad to have a living prophet to offer guidance to us as the world we live in is becoming more and more evil each year. As a Mormon, I am thankful that I can live my faith here on earth and I can return to live with our Heavenly Father and remain with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I have the best calling…Activity Days Leader! This is a class for girls, ages 8-12, and we teach them how to live their faith and we do this through crafts, little lessons and fellowship. I think they enjoy the treats the most! It is a fun hour and I look forward to it almost as much as the first Sunday of the month. As a nurse, I am able to share the love of Christ with my patients and their families. Previously I was an ER nurse for many years and I have witnessed many miracles and know that without our Heavenly Father, many of these people would have never survived even with the best of medical care. Some of the things I have witnessed can only be described as a miracle. Now I work at a pediatric hospital and although we don't see as many miracles because our patients are stable, I am still aware that our Heavenly Father works through me as I comfort my young patients and their families. I know that I could not do this job without the Holy Spirit by my side.
