Hi I'm Mark

I grew up in Los Angeles and am a white collar professional. I've been a Latter-day Saint since December 23, 2000.

About Me

I'm someone who likes to think. I puzzle over new ideas until they make sense in my life. I read constantly and ask people for their opinions because I can learn from their insights.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I love my former church and its members, I continue to be attracted to the Latter-day Saints because they live their faith as simply as was done in apostolic times. This is a church which looks out for its members; this is a church which gets things done. This is a church which teaches a gospel-based understanding of God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. I am grateful for the lack of pretention. I also am grateful that my family can last for eternity - our ties do not end at the grave.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday, and help the young missionaries as they seek out people who might be interested in learning about the church.

Are Mormons Christians?

Of course we are Christians. A Christian is a Christ-like person who does his or her absolute best to live like Christ, obey Christ's commandments, and accept Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. We cannot be saved except by calling upon the Lord Jesus Christ - He offered Himself up as a perfect sacrifice to atone for our sins and turn our weaknesses into strengths. I have met many such Christians in other churches, and I have met many such Christians in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints too. We are blessed to call each other brothers and sisters, united as children of a loving Father in Heaven. Show more Show less
