Hi I'm Halie

I'm a horseback rider and a self-taught pianist. I'm from Utah. I love to be happy. I love to smile. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the first daughter and fourth child in a family of five kids. I grew up in an active Mormon family, for which I am extremely grateful. I don't know what I did to receive that blessing in my life. A few activities I enjoy doing are playing the piano, riding my horse, hiking the great outdoors, and being with my family. I am grateful to live in and learn about the beautiful and awe-inspiring world that God has created for us. I am also grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am a returned missionary from the Xalapa Mexico Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

Throughout my life, I have been surrounded by LDS culture. My parents are both active members and so is my family. For the longest time, being Mormon was just something I was supposed to do, and I took for granted the enormous blessing it was to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. However, through tests and trials of faith, I have finally begun to understand the great blessing it is to be a Mormon. I am a Mormon because I know that this is the only church on the earth that contains the fullness of Christ's gospel. I am a Mormon because I know that being an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and following Christ's example is the only way to obtain peace, comfort, and a fullness of joy in this life and the life to come. And for these reasons, I have chosen to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by following the teaching of Jesus Christ. I try to be the person He would want me to be and to do the things He would want me to do. Serving others, showing compassion to those in need, attending my weekly church services, keeping His commandments, praying, and reading scriptures every day are a few things I try to do to follow Him. It is my hope that I can continue to grow in faith and follow more closely the example of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that through faith in Him and acting on His teachings, I can become the person He knows I can be.
