Hi I'm Kiara

I am a Mormon. I grew up in Utah and just graduated from BYU Idaho with my Bachelor's in Music Education.

About Me

I started playing the violin when I was four years old. I graduated in music education and am currently teaching junior high beginning orchestra part time. My husband and I have been married for almost a year and we have a little girl. I also enjoy reading and writing and am currently in the process of writing a book. I love music and I love movies! My favorites are suspense and action thrillers. I also enjoy comedies and family centered movies. My husband and I met in high school during my senior year. He served a full time LDS mission to Georgia and South Carolina and proposed to me the day after he got home! I am not much of a cook but I do like to bake cookies and other goodies.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and grew up attending Sunday meetings regularly. My parents have always believed that going to church is important and so I had this belief instilled in me from an early age. When I was about 13 or 14 I decided to read through the Book of Mormon for the first time on my own. After reading the book I remember a very warm and happy feeling came over me, telling me that this book is true and that the church is true. I have continued to attend the church throughout my life and it has only come to mean more to me. I learn more about myself, the Gospel and God's plan for me. I know that He loves me and knows me personally. He wants me to succeed in all my endeavors. He feels all my joys and all my sorrows. I know that I have an older brother Jesus Christ who died for me and that through His atonement I can return to live with my Father in Heaven forever. I also know that the atonement enables me to be strong through all of life's trials and hardships. With God I can do anything. I love Heavenly Father and my Savior with all my heart and I want to strive to do all that I can to serve and love His children.

How I live my faith

My husband and I just recently moved and so we are still getting situated into our new ward. We do not as of yet have any callings in the ward but we both have visiting and home teaching companions. My husband visits two different families in the ward and I visit a lady in the ward. I don't always get the opportunity to go over and visit her because I am busy with my baby a lot of the time, but I try to let her know that I am thinking about her by sending a text or calling her on the phone. Visiting teaching for me is very enjoyable because it helps me to get to know more families in my ward. My visiting teaching companion is a wonderful person and I have really enjoyed getting to know her.
