Hi I'm Sarah

I grew up in Utah. I enjoy music and playing the trumpet. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I like to play the trumpet. I played in marching, jazz, and symphonic band at my high school, as well as the orchestra and pit orchestra. I am going to college right now. I am trying to decide if I want to study Music, English, or Geology because I love each of these subjects. I have eight siblings, and now I have eight nieces and nephews too.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that believes that this church is true and are active members, which helped me learn about Jesus Christ, the Book of Mormon, and the words of the prophet. But I believe this church is true not because of what my parents believe, but because I have prayed and studied the Book of Mormon myself. I have felt that it is true, little by little, so that now I know it is true. I know that this church is directed by God through the prophet and others with authority, and I know that its teachings will help anyone who follows them.

How I live my faith

I am the secretary for the women's organization in my ward. I visit the women at their homes and see how they are doing.I am also going to serve a mission in the next few months to share the gospel with others because I know it will help them.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Mormons are normal people who are trying to do what is right. They believe in families and do things to have a happy family, like working together, playing together, and praying, reading scriptures, and going to church together. One night a week they hold family home evening, a time to spend with the whole family. Mormons also devote time to callings in their ward, to daily personal scripture study and prayer, and to attending church weekly. Besides that, each person tries to improve the world around them by serving, getting education, and developing their unique talents. Show more Show less
