Hi I'm Luke Salmon

I was born in Texas but moved around some. when I was 9 we settled in Florida. I was born into the Mormon church

About Me

I am interested in electronics. I have always found lots of different technologies interesting, but my focus is on computers. I spend a lot of time on the internet. I enjoy reading amatuer fiction. I enjoy character focused comedy and often miss the humor in television because the characters do not act in a way I can connect to.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS Church. While this is why I joined in the first place it is not what gave me a testimony that it is true. When I about 10 years old I decided to pray and ask god if this was the true church. The spirit testified to me so powerfully that day that I will never forget it. Since then there have been multiple times when I have been in a place, or doing an activity where the spirit would once again testify to me, the feelings that I get are what I use as the foundation of my beliefs.

How I live my faith

I am still relatively young and have not had very many callings. I have done my best in the past to help lead my peers by example as I grew up. I have joined other members of my church in home teaching and enjoyed being a part of the young men's program. I was called to be a missionary January 1, 2014. Since becoming a missionary, even though as of this writing I am only at the MTC I am still able to feel the spirit so unbelievably strong. I am struggling to align my way of life with the Lords. Before coming on my mission there were many things distracting me from doing my best as a child of God. Before coming on my mission I worried that I would constantly be thinking about what I was not able to do instead of what I should do. by coming to the MTC I learned that it was really just a matter of turning my life over to the Lord. Despite taking out a lot of the "fun" things in my life, I am much more satisfied with how my life is now then I was with my life then. I testify that it only takes one step of faith, you can change, you just need to be willing to take a chance and believe that the Lord will help you in your efforts to live a more fulfilling life.
