Hi I'm Marielle

Called to serve in the Lyon, France Mission. I love my family, friends, and the outdoors (in that order.) I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I was raised by a mother from Switzerland and a father from Utah who taught me both English and French. Being bilingual has been a great blessing in my life! I love learning about other cultures and hope to one day speak Spanish as well. I believe that education is the difference between wanting to help someone, and being able to. I am a Pre-med student and have many years of school ahead of me. I hope to one day be able to travel the world in order to inform others about their health, as well as provide volunteer medical services. I play the piano and love most music in general!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know it is God's church restored to this Earth. I know that I am a child of God. I know that Heavenly Father loves me and has a plan for me - just as he does for you! I know that, though I am not perfect, I can change and repent, through the blessing of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I know these things because I have prayed in faith and have received an answer by the power of the Holy Ghost, and I truly believe that if you ask, you will receive an answer also. Heavenly Father wants each of his children to know Him.

How I live my faith

Previously, I've helped organize activities for youth in the church. I now teach young adult women my age in my church and enjoy it immensely. There's nothing better than sharing your testimony with people you care about. I also try to visit members in my ward serve them in any way that I can! I have been called to serve a mission, in which I will teach others about the gospel of Jesus Christ for 18 months - there is nothing more I'd rather do.

Are Mormons Christians?

Very much so! Our church's official name is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In the Book of Mormon (Another Testament of Jesus Christ), the second book of Nephi, chapter 25, verse 26, it reads, "And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins." We believe that Jesus Christ is the living Son of God, who came to this earth in order to atone for our sins. We believe and we teach that Jesus Christ is our Saviour. Show more Show less
