Hi I'm Peggy Hoogendoorn

About Me

I graduated from Yuma High School in 1990. I was married in 1991 to my high school sweetheart. We moved to California. First, we lived in La Quinta CA then we moved to the central Coast of California in Santa Maria. We then moved to Tucson AZ, Herriman Utah and now we are back in Yuma AZ. I have four sons. My oldest in the USAF. My second son is a missionary, my third son plays football and is on the wrestling team. My fourth son plays the Bari in a jazz band at 13 years old. I am an elementary school teacher.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe we have a living Prophet today in this generation. I believe God continues to talk to us thru Revelation and He loves us.

How I live my faith

I try to be an example to others at work. I teach the CTR 4 class every Sunday. I serve my family and friends.

Are Mormons Christians?

Peggy Hoogendoorn
Christians are followers of Christ. Mormons follow the same Jesus Christ who died on the cross, and was born in Bethlehem. The same Christ from the New Testament. Followers of Jesus Christ are Christian. Show more Show less

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Peggy Hoogendoorn
It is extremely to be baptized with the proper authority. A member who holds the keys of the Priesthood. I was baptized in a non denominational Christian Church when I was 13. It felt good, but I can say with all my heart to be baptized with the Priesthood and receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost was a different feeling. The Holy Ghost testified to me the baptism was true and the Lord was pleased. Show more Show less
