Hi I'm Kaleigh

I grew up in Colorado. I'm an adventurer. I'm about to begin service as a full-time missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 20 years old. 20 years may not seem like a lot of time to acquire any momentous adventures. However, I would like to claim a life full of adventures. I was born in Colorado. Yet, after a few short years, my family and I moved to Europe. When I was there, I was baptized at age 8, in a tide pool, in the Atlantic Ocean. After seeing some parts of Europe, my family moved back to Colorado where I continued to have adventures. I found adventure in the form of traveling around the United States. I also found adventure by learning the viola, becoming a graphic artist for my school newspaper, and a videographer for our rotary club in high school. After I graduated high school I continued to pursue adventure by starting college, teaching English in China as a volunteer, going skydiving, swimming with sharks, and bungee-jumping. Yet, when I turned 20, I knew that needed to seek a different type of adventure; serving a Latter-Day-Saint mission.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was young, my family taught me about the gospel of Jesus Christ. When I turned eight, I could feel that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints embodied Jesus' teachings. I decided to be baptized. Ever since then, I have continued to learn more and more about the love of our Savior, Jesus Christ. With my family's help and the help of lessons at church, I learned about the love of our Savior through the Book of Mormon. When I became a teenager, I helped others my age learn about the Book of Mormon and Jesus Christ. At church on Sundays, I was able to share my knowledge of Jesus Christ by being a youth leader. By teaching others, I learned to love Jesus Christ and His beautiful gospel. I knew I needed to learn more! Throughout high school and college, I decided to take seminary and institute classes. There, I learned more about the doctrine of Christ's gospel and I developed a desire to serve the Lord. Just as Jesus Christ had been there for me throughout my adventures, I decided that I would be there for Him. When I turned 20 years old, I accepted the call to serve a full-time mission for my Lord and Savior. I look forward to serving and living my faith as a full-time missionary. All in all, I have been living my faith by continuously seeking to learn. I hope to be able to help others learn as I did while I am a missionary.

How I live my faith

I have lived my faith in the past by actively going to church meetings, studying the scriptures, and working with my peers as a teacher. I also try to live my faith by treating others kindly, being grateful for the adventures and opportunities that I have, and by losing myself in service. My greatest hope is that I will be able to live my faith by reminding others of Jesus Christ, wherever I am.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Missionaries share the message of Jesus Christ. They want to let you in on all the wonderful things that Jesus Christ's life and Atonement does for all people. Because the missionaries know about the excellent Atonement and plan that God and Jesus Christ have put into place for us, they won't want to keep it from you. They will tell you about Jesus Christ and His sacrifice, God's Plan of Salvation, our church, and how they fit together! Show more Show less
