Hi I'm Lisa

I'm from Brigham City Utah. I love to perform. I love to speak out. I love to share the gospel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music and dancing. I sing, dance, act, play piano and organ, compose, etc. etc. etc. Beethoven, Vivaldi, and Tchaikovsky (wow, I spelled it right!) are my buddies. I also read and write. I'm currently working on a novel which is two-thirds of the way done. When it's a bestseller, everybody will be reading this blog! I went to beauty school in Brigham City, Utah, United States. I am great at cutting hair, but not so great at coloring it (chemistry was never my favorite subject in school). I have two older sisters, one is married with two kids. The other is on the search for her husband. She's 26. And I have two dogs, a golden retriever and a border collie, and three cats.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all of my life. "I am a Mormon. I know it, I live it, I love it." That is a true statement. I have shared my testimony of Jesus Christ to many. By sharing my testimony, I help others strengthen their testimonies. We all bear each other up by living righteously together. I know God lives. I know He loves me. He answers my prayers. I have felt His presence. Jesus Christ suffered and died for us so that He could comfort us. He knows all of our hopes and disappointments, our joys and our sorrows. I strive to live a Christ-like life, so that I can show compassion in the same way. All of God's children are my brothers and sisters. Why wouldn't I want to share my joys with them? I know that this is the church which holds the fullness of the gospel. It has been restored. Through Joseph Smith, a true prophet of God, we have all the knowledge and powers of God that were lost after Jesus Christ's apostles were killed or banished. It is here again and I am grateful that I live now, that I have the everlasting gospel with me. It's true. The Book of Mormon is true. It supports what the Bible teaches. I know it. I live it. I love it!

How I live my faith

I am very active in the church. I have led the music, played the music, and sung the music. I have been put in charge of libraries that were in desperate need of my unparalleled organization skills. My skills have helped in planning church events, such as the youth camp outs. The talks I give in church are...well...long. I love teaching! I can't help it if my five-minute talks turn into twenty-minute lessons. But I know it's not all about me, so I will repent.
