Hi I'm Mark

I am a husband, father and grandfather. I am happily married. I grew up in the northern Utah area.

About Me

I have been happily married for 36 years. I have three children and 10 grandchildren. Our family enjoys snow skiing. We live close to some of the greatest ski areas in the world. In the summer we enjoy trail running and we have switched from mountain biking to road biking. I enjoy life and being active.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a young an of 20 years old, I grew to know the Mormon church was true. I finished reading the Book of Mormon and put the promise in the conclusion of the book into action. I prayed and asked if the book was true. I received a definite answer that it is true. Because of that answer, I decided to serve a full-time 2 year mission with the church to share my belief and testimony with others. I served in South Africa. My mission was a great experience. I still know the church is true. I know we have a living prophet upon the earth today. He guides us and leads us and communicates with God; just as the ancient prophets. We also have twelve apostles upon the earth. The church is organized in the same way that Christ's church was organized when he was on the earth. The priesthood, the power to act for God here upon the earth has been restored. The priesthood is here to bless the lives of those around us. It is here to bless the entire world.

How I live my faith

I enjoy our community and church. It seems like I have always served in leadership positions in the Mormon church. I enjoy serving with the youth and all people in our community and church. I love to serve. Service helps me to forget about my cares and challenges and help others and focus on their needs. Service is a big part of what makes me happy in life.
