Hi I'm Matthew Warner

I grew up in Provo Utah. I love to play tennis, take pictures, listen to good music and hang out with friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Utah my whole life. I am 18 and am a freshman in college. I am majoring in graphic art and minoring in photography. I love to take pictures of landscapes and people. I love to play tennis and have played it since I was about 12 years old. In high school I played on the team all 4 years and was on varsity for 3 of the 4. I love music a lot. I love going snowboarding. I love to travel a lot and have been to Canada, Hawaii, California, England, Scotland, and France. I love people and love making new friends and keeping old ones.

Why I am a Mormon

There are many reasons why I have chosen to stay in this church. One of them is because this church has a huge focus on families. In His church we know that families can be together forever. Not till death do us part but for eternity. Knowing I will see my grandma again in heaven and see my brother and mother and father after we die is one of the happiest things I know. I also stay in this church because of the guidance that it gives me. I know why I am here, where I came from, and where I am going. I stay because the morals and principals have kept me free. I am not addicted to coffee, alcohol, smoking or drugs because of the morals that I follow. I also know that I can pray to my Father in Heaven any time about anything. Knowing that God will always love me is one of the best feelings I can ever feel. We are all Gods children and He loves every single one of us unconditionally. That is what this church is all about. We try follow Gods example and the example of Jesus Christ by loving everyone. The biggest reason why I choose to stay in this church is because it is His church. This church is Gods true church on earth. He is at the head of this church and we try to follow in His footsteps as best we can. He has given all of us a way to come back and live with him. I know that this church is the true church. That God is our loving Father in Heaven and He wants every single one of us to come back to him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving as much as possible. I have had many callings some were harder than others and some sounded like they wouldn't be very enjoyable, but I loved every one of them. One of the ones that didn't sound very enjoyable at all was being an assistant leader for the young men that were ages 12 and 13. I had just turned 18 when my bishop called me to assist in leading them. When I first got the calling I thought to my self "I am going to hate this. They wont listen to me and will be so annoying." Then I got to know them. Each of them had there own amazing personalities which made my calling so much fun. I became really good friends with every one of them and it brought me closer to my Heavenly Father because He is always watching over us and loves us. I was following Him by doing the same. I loved each of the young men and was watching over them while we went on campouts and did other activities. Other ways that I live my faith is I try to serve as much as I can. Something I have learned from the book "The Continuous Atonement" is that I do this service because of someone who did the biggest act of service ever. My Savior Jesus Christ died for me and because of that gift, His grace strengthens me. It strengthens me to where I am able to do all things. I am able to do hard callings and love them. I am able to serve others to the point of being exhausted and through that grace He will lift me up and deliver me from my aches and suffering. I know that to be true.
