Hi I'm River

I grew up in both Washington and Hawaii, I love to help others, draw, and learn more about Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to work with others, I am a hard of hearing, . I spend a great portion of my time drawing, reading, and I love to write stories. I was in the Scouting program as a youth and attained the rank of Eagle Scout. Throughout my life I have loved to go outdoors, swim, and camp with friends. My favorite thing to do is to listen to music and draw, channeling my emotions into my art.

Why I am a Mormon

I originally became a Mormon because I had a good feeling during the lessons I had with the Missionaries. My life completely changed when I became a member, Before I became Mormon I was the type to look down on myself, and I was a bit of an antisocial person. I always had a vague knowledge that there was something after this life, and that we had a Heavenly Father that cared for us and a Savior, Jesus Christ, who died for us. The knowledge I had during that time has not only increased since I have become a Mormon, but my family has become closer and I have become outgoing and more confident then I ever thought I could be. I know without a shadow of a doubt that Jesus Christ lives. I know that the Lord loves all his children and wants them to come closer to him. There is no other place I have ever felt closer to my Lord and Savior then when I am learning about him as I read the Book of Mormon and attend Church. I have no doubt that the Book of Mormon is a true inspired work of God, not because I have been told, but because I took the challenge I found within the final book of the Book of Mormon, to Pray and ask God if it is true. The Holy Spirit has testified to me that the Book of Mormon is true. I cannot deny what I know to be true. This knowledge has changed me and I have never been more happy. I testify that we have living Prophets on the earth today as in the days of the bible, I know the book of Mormon is true, and that Jesus Christ lives.

How I live my faith

I love to do service projects when opportunities arrive, helping those in more unfortunate circumstances to feel the love of Jesus Christ. I have always been a teacher or leader among my age group. I taught 16-17 year old youth, and continued to teach when I became a Young Adult to lift others up in the knowledge that Jesus Christ is our Savior. I love to share what I know with others to help them gain a greater knowledge of our Savior.
