Hi I'm Jefferson

I'm from Grants Pass Oregon, I am a division 1 College athlete, I have 6 brothers. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Ever since I was young I always liked to hang out with family, something that was easy for me to do because I am the second oldest of 7 boys and 2 girls. My dad was a college football player and track and field athlete so he helped me get started young in sports. My mom loves music, performance and being amazing, so she helped me in those categories. I love my family so much! Our favorite things to do are: go to the park, play sports (basketball, football) Watch movies, go on hikes, play board games, and make tons of food! I was lucky enough to be a 5 time state champion in shot put and discus in Oregon while in High School and will be competing for BYU after I return from my mission. I love to lift weights and work out, especially while listening to music (taylor swift ;) haha I like people, hanging out with friends and family is what its all about! I love being in touch with everyone and staying up to date on big events in others lives. I get so excited for other people when great things happen! Playing guitar and hanging out at the beach is my dream vacation, which I have been lucky enough to do all the time. There is nothing like a peacful morning at the ocean, listening to the waves crash and the seaguls fighting over food. That is when I truly feel at peace and chill :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I can tell you right now that it is the way that I will be the most happy in my life. I love to have fun and be happy, I know it may seem counterintuitive, but living with standards is the way to go if you want to feel free and happy! I know that there is always someone there watching over me. Even when I am all alone, my Heavenly father is there and cares so much about me. My big brother Jesus Christ loves me too, being a mormon has really shown me that, and shown me how to reciprocate that love.

How I live my faith

Being a nationaly ranked athlete I was able to compete at huge track meets all over the country. Running into a lot of other athletes the morals were quite often different than mine. People would often wonder why I wouldn't go to that party, or why I wouldn't hang out with a certain group of friends when I knew something sketchy was going on. That was when I took the opportunity to tell people that I have a bigger vision for my life. Standing tall for my standards has always been important to me. I have postponed my College career in track and field for two years to serve as a missionary in atlantic Canada. Some are surprised that I would stop while I am on such a roll, sometimes I am surprised myself, but I know that there are more important things in life than sports. Serving the Lord is the only way to go!
