Hi I'm Brendan Campbell

I am a surfer, I want to be a pilot someday, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I come from a big Mormon family (I have two brothers and three sisters). I am currently serving a mission in the Idaho Boise Mission. Before my mission I was going through college and surfing a lot. Many people call me a beach bum because I spend many hours at the beach when the waves are good. I love surf trips and have been to Baja Mexico many times and recently got back from a surf trip from Nicaragua. I love all sports but mostly play volleyball, basketball, and golf.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this church has the fullness of the gospel. I have studied and prayed about this church and have found out for myself that this is the same church that Jesus had established when he was on the earth. I know that through Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on our behalf that we can live with Him and our Heavenly Father again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving the Lord. Currently I am serving the Lord by spreading the gospel to the people in Boise, Idaho. I want people to know how the gospel has changed my life and how it can change them. Before my mission I was very involved with the youth in the church. I have served in the cub scout organization.

Why do you have 12 Apostles? They were just meant to be around for the time of Jesus Christ, not to be replaced with new apostles.

Brendan Campbell
We believe in the same organization that existed in the primitive church (or church that Jesus Christ established), to be in place in His restored church today. No where in scripture does it ever mention that apostles were only to be around for a short period just during and just after the life and ministry of Christ. After Jesus Christ's death and resurrection a new apostle was chosen by revelation and under the direction of Peter to fill the void of the traitorous Judas Iscariot. Paul in the book Ephesians explains that the church is always supposed to be built upon the foundations of prophets and apostles. Apostles are living witnesses of the divinity of our Savior and help guide the saints in these days just as in the days past. Show more Show less
