Hi I'm Natalie McChesney

I'm a dancer. I'm studying to be an English teacher. I love travel, books, film, and my sweet fam. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student at Brigham Young University. I was born in Provo, which is probably the most dense population of Mormons on the face of the Earth, but I didn't grow up there. When I was six years old, my dad's job moved our family across the country to Georgia where my family has lived ever since. I'm getting my English teaching degree at Brigham Young University. I love watching my favorite tv shows with my 6 younger siblings. And MOVIES. We love movies. And plays. Musicals. And stand up comedians. haha We just love to be entertained!

Why I am a Mormon

Through prayer and asking Heavenly Father, I've come to know that, We have a loving Father in Heaven who is aware of His children and wants them to grow. Jesus Christ is his son. He sacrificed his life and paid the price for our sins so that we could repent and return to live with God again. I can know the truth of all things for myself through the confirming power of the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

So far my favorite responsibilities have been teaching Relief Society at church and being the Compassionate Service Leader for the ward. However, most of living my faith happens between Sundays. I say my prayers before I start my day and before I go to sleep at night. I try to study my scriptures every day, and often find answers and direction that I am seeking there. I dress modestly, in a way that shows respect and gratitude for my body. Because bodies are truly wonderful, aren't they? I follow something called "The Word of Wisdom." This means I don't drink alcohol, smoke, or do any kind of drugs. I also don't drink coffee or tea. In my family, we try our best to lift one another up, be accepting, and most of all, FORGIVING. Right now I am serving an 18 month mission in Lisbon, Portugal.
