Hi I'm Keisha

I'm from the Philippines. I'm taking up Education in a state university. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm fond of literature. I love reading novels and writing my own poems and stories. I'm taking up Education Major in English.

Why I am a Mormon

Back in the 1970's, my grandparents met two elder missionaries. My grandparents' families were devoted Catholics. They entertained missionary discussions until they became more interested about the gospel. They felt something different about the Church that they have never felt in the other sects and religions. They eventually developed their own testimonies and took the challenge to get baptized as a family. My mother was 10 years old back then. When they became members of the Church, they gave up everything that wasn't in tune with the doctrines of the Church. My grandfather became a better father to his children. Their bond as a family became stronger. They were later sealed in the temple of God. Their only son, my uncle, served a full-time mission and got married in the temple. My grandparents' three daughters, including my mother, got married in the temple. I am now the fruit of that acceptance to the gospel. My cousins, brothers, and I are now reaping the blessings of their decision. We grew up in the Church, knowing the truth. I developed and am currently developing my own testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel and of Jesus Christ, my Savior. I want to share this burning feeling that I have now. I want to draw more spirit children of my Heavenly Father to follow Jesus Christ and bring them back to the truth. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live and that they love each and everyone of us. I know that Joseph Smith was a true Prophet of God and that he was called to restore the one and only true Church in this world. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I have read it and pondered over it. I received an answer through prayer that it is true. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is a true Prophet of God called for these latter days to direct us.

How I live my faith

I am in the Young Women's. I am the Laurel Class first counselor. I also love working with the missionaries. I love reaching out to the youth and being a good friend to them.

Who are the Mormons?

Keisha
Mormons are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. "Mormon" is a nickname for the said members of the Church. Like the Bible, we also believe that The Book of Mormon is the word of God which was recorded by the prophets in Ancient America. Show more Show less
