Hi I'm Dolly Joyelie Fifita

I was born and raised in Long Beach, CA. Been a member all my life and I truly love this gospel. Future Missionary!

About Me

Youngest of 6 so I was never given as much as the older siblings but I grown to appreciate all that I do have and receive. My family means the world to me because they are the reason I am who I am today. I am currently enrolled in school and will be majoring in Sociology to become a social worker one day. However, I do plan to go on my mission by next year, so when the time comes everything will be on hold, till I return. I enjoy playing volleyball, reading books, and hanging out with friends & family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family who was strong in the church, so for me church was more of a mandatory thing. I would take in what was taught but I never applied it because I always took this gospel for granted. Till the summer of 2004, while on vacation in the islands, I had an asthma attack but there were no proper treatments. Every breath I took got shorter and as I laid there on what in a few minutes could be my death bed, I remember my father holding onto my hand with tears in his eyes, & all I could think about was how it was the end for me. My father in tears laid his hand upon my head and gave me a priesthood blessing, 2 minutes later I was up & running around as if nothing happened. Because of this priesthood blessing I am alive today. I know without a doubt in mind that if it were not for Joseph Smith who restored this gospel on earth just as it was when Christ was here on earth that we would not have known of this glorious priesthood power. That was the day I truly converted to the gospel and since then I never looked back just kept pressing forward. I understood that "I can do all things through Christ ..." (Philippians 4:13) and that through him we can be saved. So I am a Mormon not because my parents raised me to be, but because I have lived by the teachings of our church and know for myself that it is true, as the Spirit has testified to me of its truthfulness through the peace and comfort that I feel continuously. The gospel has put meaning into my life and I am forever grateful for the many trials and tribulations I go through that allows me to humble myself. I AM A MORMON: I KNOW IT, I LIVE IT, & MOST OF ALL I LOVE IT.

How I live my faith

I strive to follow the example of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I feast upon his words and the words of his prophets. I pray with a firm knowledge that our Heavenly Father is listening and cares. If I ask, He will help me to become more like the Savior every day. I am also currently preparing to serve a mission & I am willing and very excited to help bring the understanding and love of Christ and our Heavenly Father to his children.
