Hi I'm Jacob

I live in Idaho. I'm a senior in high school, and I plan to go on a mission after I graduate. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! My name is Jacob. I'm a senior in high school this year. I love to play tennis, play the piano, and play the drum set. After I graduate from high school I'm looking forward to devoting my next two years in the service of my Lord. After my mission, I'm planning on going to college and gain an education. I look forward to the day I find my future wife and am able to start an eternal family. I love being a Mormon, and most of all I love Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon. I'm not a Mormon because I go to church once a week or occasionally read the scriptures. I am a Mormon because that truly is who I am. Everything I do I try to do in the name of Jesus Christ. I am far from perfect, and I fail often, but because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ I can be forgiven and be cleansed. I truly love following the Lord. It took me a long time to get to that point though. For most of my life I never really looked forward to going to church or doing service, but recently through the power of the Holy Ghost I have come to know that this gospel truly is the church of Jesus Christ restored in these latter days. I know that this church is true. I know that it is good. I know that when people humble themselves and become converted unto the Lord they will find true peace and happiness that come only come with the knowledge of what is in store for us. God has wonderful, marvelous plans for us. We are instruments in His hands. When trials and hardships enter into my life, I am able to find peace and clarity because of what I know. Jesus Christ lives. Our brother, our Savior , and our redeemer looks down upon us at all times with love. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is led by Christ himself. It is true, and I am proud to call myself a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I've been blessed with many opportunities to serve the Lord through my ward. I am the ward choir accompanist. I love having the opportunity to bring the spirit into meetings through music. I am also the LDS seminary president at my high school. Which means I get to help plan activities for seminary students. It's really been a great blessing in my life to do this. I get to see my friend's and fellow student's testimonies of the gospel become strengthened when they come to seminary to learn more about Jesus Christ and his teachings.
