Hi I'm Kayleen

I grew up on the beach. I love swimming and water polo and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have two sisters. My parents are divorced and I have a step mom. I'm half Vietnamese and half Caucasian. I grew up with a big family since my mom has a lot of siblings. I'm planning on going to medical school, but things might change depending on what I feel is best for me. I love speaking Spanish and I try to use it as much as possible. My favorite food is sushi.

Why I am a Mormon

As a college student, I have a firm testimony of the church and I know why I am a member. I didn't gain this testimony until I was a Junior in High School. Although I was raised in the church, I didn't always make the right decisions. I eventually grew tired of the unhappiness that seemed to follow me whenever I made wrong choices. I needed to make better decisions and the only way I was going to do that would be by moving in with my Dad in a different state so I could attend church regularly. I have been extremely blessed by making that decision. I got into my dream university, I served as a president of the young women ages 16-18, I graduated from a four year scripture study class called seminary, I received my young women's medallion for completing a variety of projects, and I am now going to serve a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know that making the right decisions and being a part of this church has definitely helped me to become a better person and has taught me that the most important thing to do in this life is to prepare to meet God. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that it was translated by the Prophet,Joseph Smith. I know that if we will have faith and live the way God wants us to, we can be happy eternally and live with our families forever. This is why I am a Mormon. I am a Mormon because I want to be able to return and live again with God and Jesus Christ in the next life and because I want to be happy eternally with my family.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through reading my scriptures, attending church activities and meetings, and by accepting the church callings I have been given. I've served as a president of the young women who are ages 16-18 and I served as a Sunday School teacher for my ward at the university I attend. I have definitely felt the blessings of serving others through my callings and by teaching them more about our church. I'm also going to be serving a mission to the Dominican Republic so I can bring others happiness that only the gospel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints can bring.
