Hi I'm Kristine Allen

I grew up in Utah, and have been a member my entire life. I am happily married, with four children.

About Me

I am happily married with four children. I love being a mom. I love to cook, decorate, travel and be with our family. I graduated from BYU with a degree in Social Work, and worked in various jobs before I had my children. I learned from these jobs how blessed I have been because of the gospel in my life, and the guidelines it provides for us in finding happiness. I married my high school sweetheart after he returned home from serving his LDS mission in Scotland for two years. We were married 23 years ago in the Salt Lake LDS Temple for time and eternity. He is my best friend and companion. We work hard as a family, and for our church, and we play hard together too. Our Heavenly Father has blessed us so much, and I am grateful.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the hope the gospel of Jesus Christ can give to any individual and family. By living the teachings of the Savior, hard days feel easier, and we can find happiness. I know the Savior lives. He has strengthened and helped me many times in my life. I know my Heavenly Father hears and answers my prayers, and that He knows me and loves me. I know also that we must stay close to him and do our part...say our prayers, go to church, read and study the scriptures. Our Heavenly loves us...and I love Him.

How I live my faith

I am the Young Women's President in my ward. We have 50 girls in our Young Women's right now. I have worked with the girls ages 12-18 for the past eight years. It is a great and rewarding calling. I am grateful for the time I have to spend on fulfilling my calling, planning activities, and preparing Sunday lessons. We have several large events a year including an Evening of Excellence, and Girls Camp. We do several service projects a year, and try very hard to teach the girls how to serve others, be better members of their communities, and most of all to strengthen their testimonies of the gospel, and of Jesus Christ. I am also a Visiting Teacher. We visit 3 ladies in our area every month to share a short message, help them in any way, and to develop a friendship with them.
