Hi I'm Gary

I am an active duty veteran of the US Air Force. I married my best friend and have 9 children. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I was raised the second of 11 children born to a US Navy sailor. I and my sweetheart are raising 9 children while on active duty for the US Air Force. I have been serving my country for more than 19 years. I love my family and have precious few hobbies outside of seeing them grow up to be great people. All success in my life thus far can be attributed to women. My mother raised me with love and and in spite of my many youthful weaknesses, she never gave up on me. My dear, eternal companion has given more support and shown more patience with me than anyone save my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ. I am who I am because she loves me. She is lovely, of good report, and praiseworthy so I sought after her and life is great. Family is the most important thing in the world for me. I love my oldest child for his efforts to preach the true and everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ. I love my oldest daughter for her excellent high school record and for her example now as a college student. I love each one of my children still at home for individual reasons that I simply cannot explain. They are, in a word, precious. I live for them and love them all.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because it is true! I have studies many religions and beliefs and have found only one to contain the whole gospel of Christ. This is the only church which mirrors that of the church of Jesus Christ in the ancient world. I am proud to be called a Mormon because it reminds me of it's origin. Mormon was a great and humble prophet of God and was instrumental in the collection, safeguarding and delivery of the word of God to his son Moroni and eventually, to our generation through the simple and sturdy hands of Joseph Smith. I know this is true but I, like many others, was converted to these truths over the span of my life as opposed to a single moment in time. I have had many wonderful experiences that have helped my faith become unshakable. I know these things because I have asked God and have received an undeniable response that they are true and I will present this testimony to my Savior. This is Christ's church and I thank him daily for allowing me to know it. I hope you know it too. He will answer you if only you ask.

How I live my faith

I live by the phrase, "Return with Honor". I try to do anything I do with this thought in mind. Specifically, I am a nationally registered Victim Advocate and participate in many awareness activities to encourage respect for others. I often volunteer as a coach or assistant for youth sports programs. I assist with the local Cub Scouts program and teach children's religious classes with my wife each Sunday. I try desperately to surround myself with activities and people who increase my faith and strength to do good. This does not mean I only associate with Mormons but I enjoy a great number of relationships with people of many faiths who share my love for goodness and Jesus Christ.
