Hi I'm Josh

I am from Arizona. I love to hunt, snorkel, fish, shoot, and long board. I like to sing. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the middle child of five siblings. My dad and older brother both went on missions and I am following in their footsteps by going on a mission to Perth Australia. I have always loved being outdoors, especially snorkeling. I just graduated from Snowflake High School this year of 2013. After graduating I was offered a job in Flagstaff Arizona for a roofing company, in which I along with other boys waiting to leave on their missions, worked on an apartment complex. I plan to go to college and be an orthodontist. As I live here on Earth I try my hardest to be generous and helpful to others and live the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was born into a Mormon family I decided for myself to be a Mormon. Being a Mormon is amazing and living the Gospel has helped me in so many ways. It helps me have faith in my Heavenly Father, and that I can always turn to Him when I am in need of help. Everything that is taught to me helps me become a better person spiritually and physically. As I work with men who are not of my faith I see how they live their life and I can tell that they aren't too happy, sometimes miserable and I wonder how come these men don't want to live the Gospel and have the happiness that we as Mormons have. So why not be a Mormon? ou will have everlasting happiness and peace.

How I live my faith

The LDS church as always been a part of my life, I was born into it and I have amazing parents that taught me and my siblings the gospel. I've always enjoyed going to church on sundays and never intentionally missed church. As I continue to grow I learn of the reality of the world and I have made many mistakes, but through the Atonement I can repent and be forgiven and be more humble. While working for this roofing company in Flagstaff all week there are many discussions and activities concerning many things pertaining to the world and it seemed like my companions and I never could stay away from it. While this was going on we still would go to family home evening and other church activities within the town. While working we would talk about our religion to one another and to the other non member co-workers, and because of our standards and being examples that our parents would want us to be, some other the co-workers respected us and would frequently ask questions about our religion and some have been a little interested. I continue to live the gospel by paying my tithing, serving in my calling as a Primary teacher and a home teacher, and reading my scriptures. Paying my tithing has given me many blessings, as the scripture in Malachi 3:8-10 promised. One blessing is that I never seem to be in debt and have just enough money for things. As a Primary teacher, it seems like I am being taught as well when I teach the children, I've been taught things in the manual that I may have forgotten. Being in Primary has been a great experience for me. I also love being a home teacher. I have been one since I was 14 with my dad and recently got changed with a new companion and a new family, which I have enjoyed. I love giving the messages to them for it teaches me something new or something I need to work on, and when they need help, I am glad to help them. Reading my scriptures helps me in my life everyday, teaches me more of our gospel and keeps the Spirit with me.
