Hi I'm Karen Nielson

I live in Wellsville UT. I am married with three children. I work full time as a mortgage loan officer. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in Lewiston, Utah and attended Sky View High School. I enjoyed Soccer, Cheerleading, running with the Cross Country team and singing with the Choir. Shortly after high school I met a wonderful returned missionary and we were married in the Logan LDS Temple. Over the past 19 years we have been extremely blessed and have had a wonderful time together raising 3 beautiful talented children that we love so much. We now reside in Wellsville. I work full time + as a mortgage loan officer and love what I do. I get to know and work with so many wonderful people. When I am not working I love spending time with my family, watching movies with the kids, Saturday shopping with my girls, going on walks or jogs on the nearby trails, or going to the Gym.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know by me living the gospel principals taught in our church I live a very happy life. It brings peace and comfort in difficult times. It makes me a better person and helps me focus on what is important in life. I am very proud to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The values taught are so precious. I am blessed beyond measure to be given this knowledge that strengthen me and to have it to share with my children. With so many challenges and stresses in life and so many difficult decisions to make I don't know what I would do without my testimony of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Life is super busy and it is hard to find time to do everything, but I find the most important part of the day is taking the time to have personal prayer. This helps me focus and prepares myself for the challenges I will face during the day. It also helps me be a better person, more patience, loving, and understanding. As a family we read from the scriptures early in the morning before the kids go to school. We are currently reading from the New Testament in the Bible. This helps bring our family closer together even if it is for only 20 minutes Once a month my husband and I try to make a Friday night date by attending the temple and working on our family's genealogy. I currently lead the music for the congregation in our sacrament meetings on Sunday. I have also taught many lessons for many years for the children between the ages 4-12 on Sunday. We call this Primary. I participate and sing in the Ward Choir. I also try to make a home visit once a month with other women to grow friendships, leave an uplifting message, and love and strengthen one another.
