Hi I'm Regan

I'm a Civil Engineering major. I leave in September to serve a mission in the Dominican Republic. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

From a young age I enjoyed building toy cities whether it was out of legos, blocks, or anything similar. Fast forward 19 years and I never grew out of my childhood hobby. I am currently a sophomore in college studying Civil Engineering. I love expanding my knowledge in a variety of fields. I enjoy spending my free time outdoors and/or playing sports. 20 months of my childhood was spent living in Australia, where I also graduated from high school. Learning to adapt to a new culture and experiencing the gospel of Jesus Christ in a different part of the world has brought great joy into my life. It has inspired me to serve a full-time mission. In September 2014 I will have the opportunity to serve the Lord and the people of the Dominican Republic for 18 months. I can't wait to share the joy the gospel has brought to my life with others. Above all, I love my family and being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it gives me hope. Hope that tough times will end and good times don't have to. I love my family dearly. I am blessed to know that we can be together for eternity and death will not separate us. It gives me hope in life to know that I have a loving Heavenly Father and Savior who watch out for me. I am not perfect and I make mistakes, but I am grateful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ so that I may repent and be forgiven of my sins. Being a Mormon has taught me how to be a better person and live my life to the fullest. I have gained a greater understanding of the importance of serving and loving others. I have a strong testimony of prayer. Life isn't easy or bearable at times, but through God and Jesus Christ I have received strength beyond my own to keep pushing forward. They are there with me when I feel no one else is. Prayer and church attendance has given me the hope that I will never be alone. I am continually surrounded by the love of God whether it's by His direct comfort through the Holy Ghost or by the selfless people I come in contact with at church. As I feel God's love, I can't help but want to spread it to others.

How I live my faith

Above all, I live my faith by showing love towards others. I love to serve and help those around me. It's by the small and simple everyday acts of kindness I am able to show others how much I care. In church, I have had the great opportunity to teach Sunday School. I love seeing others', as well as my own, faith and happiness grow as I teach and as we follow God's commandments. It brings me great joy to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others.
