Hi I'm Kolter Atkinson

I am an 18 year old Latter Day Saint in Utah. I have been called to serve as a missionary in the Manchester England Mission.

About Me

I love anything to do with sports. I love to be outside all the time. I love music and singing. I love to hang out with my friends and have a good time together. I love my family more than anything in this world. Christ is and always will be number one in my life because I am so grateful for the sacrifice that he made for me. I have been called to serve a mission for the church in Manchester England and will report to England on June 11, 2015.

Why I am a Mormon

Im a mormon because I've seen the hand of God in my life. I have felt his presence in this church and I love the feeling I get from the Book of Mormon. I don't have to search for answers in the world because the Book of Mormon has given me the guidelines for a happy life. I have read it and have prayed to my Heavenly Father to know if it really is true and the answer I keep getting is yes, it is. I'm so grateful to have this knowledge in my life. Because of the knowledge that I have been blessed with I am so grateful to my Heavenly Father everyday and try to look for ways to spread the good word of the gospel with those around me. But most of all I am a mormon because of my Savior. He has given us this gospel and I want to be a part of it my whole life. That is why I'm a mormon.

How I live my faith

The Book of Mormon is the center of my life. I read at least one chapter everyday. The gospel of Jesus Christ is all about service so i am always on the lookout to help anybody in need. I also try to live my faith by just being an example to those around me so they can have someone to look to if they need help with anything.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Kolter Atkinson
No! The LDS church is all about service and we don't just limit that service to our members. We want to help everybody in any way we can. Christ's whole life was about service and we just want to follow his example. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Kolter Atkinson
No. Not all members are required to serve a mission. If you are a male then it is seen as a priesthood duty but not a requirement. This Church doesn't force anything so we all have the ability to choose for ourselves. The reason that we serve is for our Savior and because he asked us to. It is definitely a privilege to give two years of your life to God to show your love for him. So no, it isn't required to serve. It is a privilege to serve and that is why we do it.
