Hi I'm Emily

I'm a student at high scool, I love all forms of art, music & drama - and I LOVE being a Mormon!

About Me

I am the eldest of five siblings, I have fantastic parents, I have some amazing friends, and I go to a really great school, I enjoy Disney movies and ice cream, and anywhere outdoors is my favourite place to be! I guess I'm fairly normal as far as most things go... I am just an average teenage girl, with one thing that sets me apart from most of my school peers - I have a bright and burning testimony that my Heavenly Father lives, that he loves me, and that I can reach him through prayer. I can't even begin to express how that knowledge has changed my life!

Why I am a Mormon

Put simply - I am a Mormon because I know it's true, I have tried and tested the standards I have been taught, and I love the way my life has turned out so far! I know it's true because the feelings I have recieved through prayer, scripture study and attending church meetings, are absolutely undeniable. I believe the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and I believe the Prophet Joseph Smith restored this church by divine authority, and that we still have a living Prophet today. I am a normal human being - just like you, and I make mistakes. Tons of them! But through the atonement of Jesus Christ I can repent and start again. And again. And again. Because of Jesus Christ I have hope, joy, peace and love in my life. In the summer of 2013 I was in the first cast of the very first British Pageant. The British Pageant is a show that told the story of the first missionaries for our church in the British Isles. It follows the conversion story of a few individuals and families, up to the journey the British Saints made to America. The strongest I have ever felt the spirit in my life was during this show. Music is a large part of my life, and inspiring music touches me deeply. As we came together as a body of saints to sing our testimony and praises to the Lord the power of the spirit testifying of the truth was incredible - it's a feeling I will never forget. I invite all to seek God, and learn of Him. He works many mighty miracles - and his gospel has changed my life.

How I live my faith

I attend church services every Sunday, I go to youth activities every Tuesday, as well as weekend sports days, fun days, and service projects. I help organise activities for youth aged between 12 and 18. The activities are a great way for us to meet together to share our testimonies, and learn from others! We have a lot of fun and it's the best environment to make friends :) My parents raised me in the gospel and I couldn't be more grateful to them for the example they have set. Because of them my biggest goal in life is to marry someone with the same faith as me and raise a family with the same values and standards my parents taught me.
