Hi I'm Nate Jones

About Me

I like to hike, play video games, go bowling, hangout with friends, play some basketball, and eat hot wings. In 2012 I graduated from Mountain High School. I left on my mission December 4th 2013. I am the youngest of 3. I love music! I love going to concerts. I can enjoy ANY type of music, from the heaviest of it, to the gentlest hymns, I love it. I play guitar. Hiking/getting lost in the mountains is one of my favorite past times. I have fun messing around and doing almost anything. Back home I lived in a zoo. Dogs, birds, chickens, and rabbits have always been a constant part of my life. I'm not exactly sure what I'd like to do later on in life, but one thing is for certain, and that is that I want to help people. There's nothing better than getting a call or visiting a person who feels like their life is just a total mess, and helping them to restore some hope and getting them to see the good that's still left in life. It doesn't get better than that. I love america and bacon and stuff too.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I recognize that this church has the fullness of the truth. It has the priesthood authority to do things in the name of God, and to act as a whole in the name of God. Its Christ's church on the earth today. Complete with a prophet, 12 apostles, and even temples. I was baptized into the church at 8, but wasn't personally active from about age 12 to 17. Before my senior year in high school I heard the message of the Atonement and it changed my heart and who I was. Since then I have never been the same, in the best of ways. I made a huge and sudden major transition of lifestyles in a very short amount of time. I did this because I knew this was the truth about God. The truth about his ways, and his identity, and function. I knew these things through his influence and the power of the holy ghost. I knew, that he knew, that I knew, these things were true. I cannot deny that. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Now a few years later down the road I'm out here on a mission. That's something I never thought I would have ever done. It's absolutely been the hardest thing I've ever done in my life but also the most worth it. He has never left me alone and has always extended grace and support to me as I try and follow his paths. The Lord is helping to mold me into the person who he needs me to be. The kind of father he will someday need me to be. So far I have served in Adelanto, Apple Valley, Victorville, and Upland California. I like to talk to people and help them turn to Jesus Christ's atonement so that he can help them with the problems we all have. I love the truth, and the true church being on the earth today. Back home I lived my faith by hiking, driving up the mountain, making music, loving and caring for my flock of animals, and trying to do good to people. I firmly believe in striving to love others just as the Lord has loved us. None of us are anywhere near perfect and we all need his help, and the help of those around us.

In whom should we have faith?

Nate Jones
Jesus Christ. Plain and simple. People are imperfect and they will let you down. There is only one person who is perfect, and that's Jesus Christ. Even the most righteous man who has ever lived cannot grant unto you salvation, only Christ himself. He is "the keeper of the gate" and he "employs no servant there". Show more Show less
