Hi I'm Ana

I'm an avid reader, I love my family (including my adorable pup!), I love to travel and I'm a mormon.

About Me

My name is Ana, I love to read, swim, and travel. I got an associates degree in Sociology and will be going back to get my bachelors and hopefully masters in about a year and a half. I am absolutely in love with learning about different cultures and I love visiting new places and meeting new people. I am Mexican and I love the traditions that come with my culture (and of course the food!) I love photography and movies and studying human behavior. Scholastically and career wise, my ultimate goal is to become a Pediatrician because I absolutely adore kids and the human body fascinates me. My family is the most important thing in this world to me, along with my faith in God and my Savior Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I remember a specific time after I had gone through a particularly hard trial I had a lot of bitterness, resentment, and hate in my heart. It was weighing me down, it had been a year of me feeling that way and I wanted it to stop. In seminary earlier that day we were talking about forgiveness and taking part of the atonement of Jesus Christ. It really hit me that day. I got home and that night I knelt and had the most heartfelt and sincere prayer I had ever had, I poured my heart out to my Heavenly Father and told him that I didn't want to feel the way I felt anymore, that I wanted to be able to be happy and feel love, peace and joy. I wanted to know if He was really there and what I needed to do to follow Him. I have never felt such a stillness and peace like I did after that prayer. I know without a doubt that God lives and He loves us, He knows me individually, I know that my Savior Jesus Christ lives, that he atoned for me, every sin, sorrow, grief and pain that I would feel in this life. He didn't just atone for me but for every single person that has and will ever exist. I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to this earth once again. I know that Joseph Smith was called of God to restore it and to translate the Book of Mormon. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know that the church is led by a living Prophet today, President Thomas S. Monson. I know that I can live with my family for all of eternity by living my life in accordance with the teachings of Jesus Christ. I love my Heavenly Father, my Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ and my family. I am grateful for this knowledge and I know that you can know for yourself that this Gospel is true. If you have the sincere desire to know, and pray to God to know if the Book of Mormon is true, if the LDS church is the true church of Jesus Christ on the earth again, He will let you know it is true. and I invite you to find out for yourself. in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

Through volunteer work at schools in my community and helping with different youth organizations I share what I believe by living it. I love to be on organizational committees and give service in any way that I can. I like to make sure that everyone is doing ok by taking the time to visit them and spend time getting to know people.
