Hi I'm Laura

I am the proud Mother of 4 little boys, I like sports, I stay home, I attend school on-line and I'm Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Calgary AB, I played basketball since I was very young. I played on many community and school teams. I also enjoy cooking and baking only I don't enjoy the clean up afterwards. I got married young, and supported my husband through Law school and MBA school as well as work. Because of this I have been able to travel a lot through out North America, in the almost 10 years that I've been married we've moved 14 times. However the first 13 moves were done in the first 6 years. We recently settled on an acreage, and I love the change from city living to acreage living. Besides it being quieter and I love watching the deer roaming in my front yard every day. I also have 4 boys between the ages of 7 year and 6 months. I currently stay home with my family, but I am also taking a Legal Assistant program on-line, I'm currently in my second year of the program. Some of my favorite past time now are bowling, going out for half price appies, American Ninja Warriors and enjoying a good movie with my husband or family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up Mormon, its all I've really ever known. I have studied this gospel over many years, and tested my Father in Heaven many times. He always seems to come through for me. I choose to me Mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ, and I believe that he is the son of God. I believe that Jesus Christ bled in the Garden of Gethsemane, and died on the cross so that I can live with God again. I believe that families can be together forever, and I really depend on this since I lost my own dad recently. I believe that God guides our Church through a prophet. Most importantly I know that God knows me and loves me, I've learned this over the years. He knows when I need help, and how to help me the best, as long as I ask. I know that if God cares that much about me that he also cares that much about all of his Children, and we are all his children. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

How I live my faith

I try my best to serve when and where I can. Right now I'm helping to teach Sunday School to the youth in my ward, which is a new experience and kind of intimidating. But I know I can learn through this experience. I look forward to visiting teaching every month, which is when I get to visit a few ladies in my ward (Church), see how their doing, and we get to enjoy each others company. One of my new traditions with this is going out for 1/2 price appetizers at a local restaurant and heading to free bowling after that. I also like a good deal if you haven't noticed. Most important I try to teach my kids through my example as well as words, what it means to serve others, whether its taking a meal to someone whos just had a baby, or lost a family member, or babysit when someone is in need.
