Hi I'm Tammy

I grew up in Utah. I love to cook and share good food with my family and friends. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm a mother to four amazing kids and enjoy cooking healthy food for my family, being taxi driver for my kids, exercise and reading when I can find a spare moment. My kids are at all stages of life this year, from elementary school to missionary. Before I decided to stay at home and be a full-time mom, I earned a BS degree in marketing at Utah State University and owned my own mortgage brokerage for almost 10 years. I loved working with people and assisting them with financing their homes, but found that my family needed more of my time and energy. Currently my oldest son is serving a mission in Canada. I have a son who swims on the high school swim team and two daughters that excel in dance and gymnastics.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised as a Mormon. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints is true. I KNOW without a doubt that my Savior lives and died for my sins. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of our Lord and Savior. I believe that through the blessings of the temple, I can be together with my family forever. I'm a Mormon because God's plan is a plan of happiness. I know that when I follow the teachings of our Savior and of our living prophet that I am happy. I know that Heavenly Father answers our prayers. He knows each and every one of us and is with us every step of the way. He will not leave us alone.

How I live my faith

I was recently called to serve with the women(sisters) in our ward. I love serving the sisters in our ward and in our neighborhood. I have an overwhelming love for them and for their families. Everyday these sisters are in my thoughts and prayers. I love to visit with them and get to know them better, to share their happy moments and to be there for them when they need a friend. I love to see them taking care of their neighbors and friends. Their actions and testimonies help to build and strengthen my testimony continually. I also live everyday thinking about and praying for my missionary in Canada. It is an awesome experience sending a child (son in my case) to serve a mission. He is no longer a child, but a man and his experiences and testimony have had a lasting effect on my life. He is a great example to me and to his siblings. My husband and I have enjoyed watching him learn and grow through this experience.
