Hi I'm Cassidy Brown

I grew up in Mesa, Arizona. I'm a student at Arizona State University. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona and have always loved living in the hot Arizona sun with most of my extended family living close by. I have 2 older sisters and 2 younger brothers who I love very much. Ever since elementary school, I have loved working on Student Council and have been elected to many positions such as Student Body Secretary, Vice President, and Senior Class President. I worked hard throughout high school and got a scholarship to attend Arizona State University. After a year of studying nursing, I switched my major to Family & Human Development and hope to receive my Master's in Family and Marriage Therapy. This past semester I have moved to Provo, Utah and continue to study through ASU taking online classes. I'm excited to see where my life takes me!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the joy, peace, and comfort it has brought to me and those I love. Growing up in the church, I learned the doctrine at a pretty young age. It all seemed like it was good so I didn't question it for a long time. However, as I grew older, I could no longer just accept what someone was teaching me as the truth; I needed to find out for myself if what I was learning was true. I asked my Heavenly Father in sincere prayer and received the answer that this is His only true church and that what I have been taught is true. I have never doubted that answer since. I have continually had spiritual experiences testifying of my Savior, and through the atonement I have been able to feel His love for me. I'm so grateful for this gospel in my life!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every Sunday and any additional meetings or activities throughout the week. I have served on several different activities and service committees and enjoy planning fun, spiritual activities to help my ward grow closer together. I also live my faith by being aware of how I act. I try to be the best representative of Christ in order to be an example to those around me.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Cassidy Brown
As a part of our Heavenly Father's plan for us, we are given free agency. With this gift, we have the ability to choose for ourselves. Heavenly Father knew that by giving us this power, we would make mistakes. We know from Moses 6:57 that no unclean thing can be in God's presence, so without a way to be forgiven of our mistakes, we would not be able to live with God again. This is why Jesus Christ's atonement is so important to us! Through our Savior's atoning sacrifice, we are able to repent and be forgiven of our sins so that we can return to our Heavenly Father's presence. Show more Show less
