Hi I'm Sara Kennedy

I grew up in a small town. I'm a competitive swimmer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

People who know me know me as a swimmer. That's because I've been swimming my entire life and have competitively been swimming for 10 years. I swam for college for a year and in that year I accomplished many of my goals. After that year of experience in college, I thought I was ready to take another step in my life by joining the United States Navy. So as of now I'm preparing to ship out for bootcamp.

Why I am a Mormon

I didn't know what I expected to happen when my best friend ask me to read the Book of Mormon. I knew it was to help him prepare for his mission if he had someone to discuss and read along with even though he was thousands of miles away from me. I also didn't realize that I knew more about the Gospel than I was aware of. As stubborn as I was and how hard my heart was, all that began to change when everything I had been learning started making sense in my head and more importantly in my heart. I knew with the faith that I had in the Lord he wouldn't lead me in the wrong direction. I know that Christ's Gospel is true and He is my Savior. But it wasn't a long after my baptism that I gained a testimony of how He saved me on earth too. I had a full plate and one crazy first year of school being a student, swimmer, worker, and a child of God. I think if I didn't have the Gospel in my life I'm no sure how I would have been able to do what I did. Before I began my investigation I felt like I was at rock bottom and on my way down the wrong road and at that rate I really wouldn't have been able to do what I did while I was in school. But I know the Lord saved me through that tough year and He will always be there for me every step of the way in my life as I continue to follow His plan. And I know I will follow Him forever because I know I will be saved in the end.

How I live my faith

I enjoy participating in church activities and being apart of visiting teaching for the first time. I love sharing my knowledge with people who are members or who are desiring to learn. Right now I'm sharing the Gospel with my sister and it's been the best sharing and growing experience for the both of us.
