Hi I'm Tarren

I grew up on Utah, I'm a Veterinary assistant, an avid reader, and currently I'm a missionary serving in Pittsburgh PA.

About Me

I have lived in Utah my whole life, and I love it here! some may say I'm crazy but I love how we can experience all four seasons in a single day here in Utah. I am a certified Veterinary Assistant, and enjoy working with animals. I have a dog and eight chickens. Someday I hope to have a horse, cat, goat, and possibly a cow. I also enjoy gardening and am usually the one outside weeding the grow boxes, harvesting the vegetables and so forth. I hope to go to college and become a Veterinarian, and even possibly go into animal pathology, the study of diseases, I enjoy singing and reading books. For right now I am serving as a missionary In the Pennsylvania Pittsburgh mission, and I love being able to serve the people here and get to know them better!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church by two loving parents. I have grown up with it in my life and go to church every sunday.I'm a Mormon because I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and is always there for me, no matter what I do. There was a time in my life where I made mistakes and felt completely lost in the world. I still went to church but went half heartedly. There was a point that I wondered if God was really watching out for me or if he abondoned me. Every new year the church would have a theme for the youth for that year, I remember that one year the theme was " Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee withersoever thou goest." Joshua 1:9. That scripture really stood out to me, I decided I would pray about that scripture to see if Heavenly Father was really there for me. I didn't recieve a vision or have an angel appear in my room but I do remember that I felt calm, peaceful, and warm. I felt Loved. After that experience I really started to study the scriptures and make Church more meaningful to me by trying to learn something new each time I went. Today I still face challenges and struggles but I would never give them up, it's how my faith grows stronger. Our lives are constantly changing, with new experiences, new situations and with that, new hurdles to overcome. But, I know that Heavenly Father Loves me and that he loves you and He watches out for us all. I know that My savior Jesus Christ died for us all, and through the atonement we can accomplish all things. Because of the peace and joy the church has brought me and all the guidance I have received, and for being able to have a personal relationship with God, I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I've never been the one to go around announcing to the world that I'm mormon, but I have always tried to be a good example to others by keeping the standards I have. My friends around me know that I would never swear and that I don't aprreciate them swearing around me. I always try to serve those around me and never talk bad about others. I hope that if I smile and say hi to people walking by me that I could lift their spirits and brighten their day. I try not judge others, and am willing to listen to other peoples problems and try to give them advice. I know that being an example is hard sometimes, even when everyone around you is doing something that you know you shouldn't do, so you become the odd one out. right now I have the wonderful opportunity to serve the Lord by serving a mission, I have loved my mission so far, it has been an incredible blessing and something I am never going to forget. being able to serve others is an amazing experience. it is incredible being able to walk around the streets and talk to people about the gospel of Jesus Christ and being able to brighten other peoples days.
