Hi I'm Regan Evanson

I'm from Southern Alberta, I'm serving in the Canada Halifax mission, I like to drive my motorbike, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was born in 1993 in Edmonton Alberta but grew up the majority of my life in Southern Alberta. I am the second oldest child of five. My father is a dentist and i aspire to follow in his footsteps. I played football and rugby through high school and into college where I also studied pre-med. In the summers I spend my time at the lake with friends, hiking in the rocky mountains, or riding my motorcycle with my friends. During the winter months I enjoy nothing more than spending a day snowboarding at a hill. I currently am serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Canada Halifax Mission. I have been blessed to serve all through the maritime provinces.

Why I am a Mormon

Becoming a converted Mormon is something that comes through prayer, study, experience and by keeping Gods commandments. I have prayed specifically about the Book of Mormon and have come to know that it is true, and that it did come forth the way Joseph Smith said it did. I have studied the words the Book of Mormon contain, as well as the bible, and have learned precious truths that i can not deny. I have experienced the happiness that comes from the knowledge of the true gospel of Jesus Christ only found with in this church. I have experienced first hand the difference between following Gods commandments and disobeying. with these 4 personal and continual witnesses I know that this church is true and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have lived my faith in a variety of different ways. Being raised in the church I have had the opportunity to serve in many ways in the church. I have served in a variety of activities from food drives, to being a trail guide for an Alberta Scout Jamboree. Now as a missionary I am able to spend all of my time serving those here in Atlantic Canada by helping them feel closer to through Savior Jesus Christ. For me, living my faith means living in a way that others can recognize me as a follower of Jesus Christ. In his own words Christs explains that if we love one another as He has loved us, men shall know that we are His disciples.
