Hi I'm Makeesa Montgomery

I grew up in the church in a small town and I'm getting ready to leave on a mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town. I graduated high school and went to a local community college. I graduated there and work in a bakery. I love acting, watching movies, and doing things with horses.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the Church is true. It has given me so much knowledge and understanding about life that I may have never found without the gospel. I know that by living the teachings of this church that families can be together forever. I have lost many family members that I was very close with and it gives me comfort to know that I will see them again. I know that being a member of this church is not always the easiest but that if you endure, the blessings are well worth the hardship. I know that through Christ and his atonement we can return to live with our Heavenly Father again. I know that he suffered and died for me as an individual. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ know me by name and care about me. I know that when I pray, they listen and answer my prayers. I know that if we follow the counsel of the prophets that we will be blessed and our lives will be enriched. I'm so grateful for the scriptures and all the knowledge that can be found within those pages. I know that they are a gift from God to help guide us through this life, and that if we read them, God will answer our prayers through them. I'm so blessed to have this gospel in my life and for all the joy and happiness that it brings to me and my family.

How I live my faith

To live my faith I just try to be as Christlike as possible. I give service to those around me. I take food and goodies to those in need. I watch children so that parents can go out together. I served as a teacher and taught the sisters in my singles branch. I help plan the weekly events for our singles branch. Living like a Mormon just means that you do a little bit each day to be a little more like Christ.
