Hi I'm Stephanie Denos

I am the youngest of nine, a college student, I play the violin and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Family is a big deal to me. I am the youngest of nine children and I have had many blessings through out my life. My parents are the best example to me, and have taught me many principles in life. They raised me in the church but have always taught me to choose religion for myself. At the age of 4, I would spend most of my time after school playing the violin. As I got older I learned to take care of horses and the many other animals that I have. Learning time management was important lesson my parents taught me that has been one of my greatest strengths in today's world.

Why I am a Mormon

Being raised into the gospel can be a easy and hard thing. I was always taught right from wrong. Doing what was right was always the thing I seemed to do, until I realized that I needed to have a purpose. I would constantly hear that I needed to build my own testimony and ask if this church is the true church. But I never doubted that it was. I went to many other churches, but I never felt the spirit there like I did in church. I love the temples and the peace they bring, the blessings I receive from this gospel and the constant companion of the holy ghost. The spirit confirms that I am making the right decisions and that helps give me comfort during my trials. I am a Mormon because I have a testimony that it is the true gospel and it makes me so happy.

How I live my faith

Through gaining my own testimony, I have strengthened my standards. Living high standards has helped me be a leader and avoid temptation. However, I am not perfect but it makes it easier. By using my talents that I have been blessed with it becomes easy to share and give service to those who are in need. A simple smile is my greatest blessing, and the effect that it can have is amazing. It has taught me that sharing and having compassion is one of the most important things when you are serving and building relationships.

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

Stephanie Denos
The way I see the Holy Ghost is like a best friend. It is your choice to accept him. He is a member of the godhead and it is a blessing to have his guidance. The Spirit can bring you feelings of joy, comfort, peace, love and any other feeling that is associated with the act of doing something good. It is one of the greatest gifts we have received from god.. and we should never take it for granted. Show more Show less
