Hi I'm Jorron (Jo) Szekely

I'm Hawaiian, Adopted, a Twin, a Happy Wife, Mother, Grandmother, a Financial Coach a Youth Leader. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

My adopted parents adopted not only my twin and I, but also 4 other children. We grew up in a diverse household. My parents were ahead of their time. Feel being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints had a lot to do with that. My parents not only taught my siblings and I a great work ethic, but they also taught us how to overcome trials by putting our trust and faith in the Lord. My father retired from the Army and settled in Michigan. I married my high school sweetheart. We have been married for almost 33 years now. During our first part of our marriage, my husband served in the US Army overseas in Germany and also here in the US. We eventually settled down in Michigan, where my husband just recently retired from working full-time in the Law Enforcement Field. Have been fortunate to be a stay at home wife, mother and grandmother. I have been blessed being a wife, mother and grandmother. There's nothing to compare when it come to posterity. Enjoy travel, sports, & serving others as a family & friends. My interests are in the financial field helping others as well & becoming debt free and financially independent. I am huge in self-improvemet and being a positive influence for good. Love the good in life and count my blessings everyday for all my Heavenly Father has given me. Grateful to be adopted as well. One day, I hope to tell my biological mother thankyou for caring enough about us, by allowing us to live!

Why I am a Mormon

Well Why I am a Mormon. I was fortunate enough to be raised as Mormon. My parents were converts to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They helped plant the seed to my conversion. Everyone must eventually gain their own testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Since I was a youth, I have always waited for the return of the Savior to planet earth. I know there is truth in probably all churches. However, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has the fullness and truth of all things. Through study & prayer and by just living the gospel has helped me realize these truths even more. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God. How do I know this? Well, I have studied and pondered it's teachings daily. I have asked Father in Heaven through prayer if it is true. I have received personal inspiration that it is the word of God, and that his son's and daughter's would get closer to him by abiding by it's teachings and instruction. Sure the Book of Momon was written over 2000 years ago, however Father in Heaven knew we woud need the instructions and lessons from it to help us in these latter days. I am grateful for Eternal Families and the knowledge how and what we need to do to make this happen. After all, all you have to do is humble yourself an ask Father in Heaven what Plan he has for you. It has blessed my life and my Ohana (Family in the Hawaiian language) and can bless your life as well. These things I say, in my beloved Savior's name, Jesus Christ, Amen!

How I live my faith

I am blessed to be an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There are so many opportunitities we have to serve in our families, church and in our communities. As members of our faith we volunteer our time to serve others in various callings. At this time in my life I am priviledged to serve the youth of our congregation. Most particlarly the young women. Here we are reminded that We are Daughters of our Heavenly Father who loves us and we love him! I believe all the women of the world would be a lot happier if they knew they were literally Daughters of Father in Heaven. How much more we would feel better about ourselves. How much more we would treat others with love and kindness and respect. How much more we would make wiser choices and think of the consequences our choices would bring. I know where I come from. I know why I'm here. I know where I'm going. That is so empowering. I know my Savior and Redeemer loves me and gave his life for not only all people of this world, but for me as well. I know that our Father in Heaven and his Son, Jehovah appeard to a young boy of only 14 yrs of age and set in motion the Restoration of their Church here upon the earth in these latter-days. There is a purpose for us all. Everyday I see the miracles happen all around us. At this time in my life I see the beauty that comes from serving with the young women of our community. Their desire to serve others and have a good time while serving. As a leader in the youth group, I am able to work with personally improving each day in an inspired program, entitled "Personal Progress". I know that this self-improvement program has benefited not only my life, but the lives of all those around me by just being better. Having a better attitude and not being idle. I am grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and will forever be in his and my Heavenly Father's debt for their unconditional love for me and all the human race.
