Hi I'm Cody James Kelly

I am a dancer, a model and an actor, but most important I am Mormon.

About Me

My name is Cody. I have been in foster care and was born outside of a marital family. I have sinned and repented. I have had trials and struggles throughout my life. I know that Being LDS has changed my life. There is love that I have experienced both in giving and receiving the word of Christ. I am 20 and attend Utah Valley University for dance, and I am always smiling. My favorite things to do are dance, read, sleep, act, model, and adrenaline junkie activities. I have never been happier and I say to you that I have never been more at peace.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because of how I feel. I learned about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints of all places on Facebook. I was in a google hangout for a job and one of the people that had applied had mentioned that she was Mormon. For some reason I felt like I should message her instead of asking in the chat. I was shocked when she started to tell me what it was it was everything I believed in in full. There was finally something I connected to good people with great standards. I was baptized soon after. And confirmed a member a week later. MY testimony of the Savior is this. Everything happens for a reason know that whatever you are going through there is a reason. There is a reason your reading this today and there is a reason you are still reading. God loves you he knows your name, your favorite color, your favorite food, he takes the best part of you and makes it better. He loves when you smile and laugh he hurts when you cry when you struggle he truly is a Father to everyone on this earth he is amazing. He gave his son our savior and our Redeemer so that we maybe saved. So that all his children may be saved he loves us as much as we love him and most of the time even more. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ!! Amen.

How I live my faith

How I live my faith. Well the best way I do that is I have fully given myself to the Lord what I do is through him and what I do is also through him. The blessing I have received from Heavenly Father show me just how great and caring he really is. I go to any church activity I can. I read the scriptures daily and journal constantly. I am pure of mind body and spirit however I always have fun!!!! I may not party like a normal teen but I always have fun remember how could I have no fun and always smile that would be laaaame.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Cody James Kelly
A family is sacred. The blessing of having a child is such a beautiful thing. When I think of a woman I want to marry, I know that it is an honor. I am asking to marry a daughter of God there is no higher standard. I am seeking permission to enter into a covenant of Love, respect, understanding and care. I am taking it upon myself to be a worthy, honorable man that is blessed to have the honor of accompanying a woman anywhere she wants me to go. In terms of creating a family that is something I feel very strongly is ONLY saved for marriage. The act of bringing a child into this world is to bring an Angel from Heaven to have a mortal body, to learn, to grow, to have faith and return to their Father in Heaven. Family is the most sacred blessing in all of creation to me. After that of Jesus Christ our Savior and Redeemer. Show more Show less

In whom should we have faith?

Cody James Kelly
It is very important to have Faith in Jesus Christ. He is the center of my faith. One of the common misconceptions regarding the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints is that we worship Joesph smith. Another misconception is that we are Mormon not Christian. Both of these are false. As a convert to the church I will address the first of those two first. I grew up not truly believing God but I knew the stories. I didn't care about Jesus (Sadly). I was a believing in myself and only myself. I joined the Church of Jesus Christ not Joesph Smith. I admitted that God and His son Jesus Christ had higher ways than my own. I determined to do the will of Jesus Christ and only Jesus Christ. I worship, praise, love, thank, believe, and trust Jesus Christ. I sustain Joesph Smith as a prophet chosen by Jesus Christ. The second point about not being Christian is also false. The definition of Christian in the Merriam Webster dictionary states the following: One who professes belief in the teachings of Jesus Christ. I only after joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints can say I am truly Christian. It was only after earning of Christ and apply his teachings in my life did I become Christian. I love my savior. I know Jesus lives and it is he that follow and love. Show more Show less

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Cody James Kelly
As we pray and recognize that Heavenly Father is our Father and treat him as such we come closer to him. As his children it is a blessing to be able to reach out in pray to get to know him better. I can testify through my own life as I am a convert to the church that it is only through us reaching out towards him that we can come as close as we desire to be to our Father in Heaven. Heavenly Father will never leave us to confront this world by ourselves. I can promise using my own life as an example that as we pray and read the scriptures and desire to come closer to God we will. Show more Show less
