Hi I'm Keri Chantel Stephenson

I grew up in the state of Washington. I am a lover of music and the arts. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a person who loves to try new things and make adventures happen! Some of the adventures I have had, have been with the children I have babysat and nannied for, for years. I also love arts and crafts! It keeps me busy and I especially like to make cards or notes to those I love. A hobby I have had since I was a little girl is playing the piano and singing. Currently I am not in school, but I have been nannying for families and cleaning house for a few of my relatives. Cooking and spending time with my family are a few other joys of mine.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? This gospel I am a part of changes me every day, for the better. I learn so much about how to live my life and what matters most. Love, charity, family, and my Savior matters most to me. I do the best I can each day to find a way to be more like the Savior. He sacrificed everything in his life, for my life to have hope and happiness. He is the source of love and peace. He is the One that gets me through the unexpected turns of sorrows and joys I face. Without His willingness to die for me, to wash my sins and mistakes away, my life would mean nothing and serve no purpose. Jesus Christ and my Heavenly Father give me purpose. Through this religion and way of life, I am able to find truth, meaning, and healing. I have prayed to know if this church is true, and I know without a doubt that it is. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

In this church, I have served many different roles. I have been a secretary, counselor, and president to the young women of the church. My job was to make church activities were purposeful and fun! I have also served as a choir pianist as well. If there ever was I time someone needed a pianist or musical conductor, I was fortunate enough to help out. Another recent calling I've had in the church was secretary for seminary (church class in a high school). My job was to invite others at my school to join in the seminary activities. I also have had an opportunity to teach gospel principles and share my testimony in church activities or meetings.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Keri Chantel Stephenson
Mormons including myself, believe that families can be together forever, even when our loved ones have died. We believe that one day we will be reunited with them. Making our families eternal happens through special practices that happen in all of our LDS temples. The practices in the temple make it possible for families to become bound together. What is being a Mormon like?

Keri Chantel Stephenson
Being a Mormon is definitely different in many ways, in comparison to how the rest of the world lives. When you are a Mormon you constantly remind yourself of the standards you have, and do the best you can to live by them. Being a Mormon, you have to sacrifice worldly things. We are instructed to dress and act modestly; avoid drugs, alcohol, and tobacco; watch and listen to uplifting and appropriate entertainment; and to use good language, so not using any swear words. It is at times difficult to live by these standards, but God has promised us happiness and many blessings when we do what He instructs us to do. Show more Show less
