Hi I'm Justin Hall

I grew up in Utah, I absolutely love people, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

Life is good and God is great. I love being active: playing ball with my buddies, climbing, slack-lining, snowboarding, you name it. Reading is the best way to pass the time and one of my favorite things to do. We are all our own sort of crazy and I'm no exception. Right now I am happy to be serving as a full-time missionary in the California Ventura Mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because when its all said and done, its the smartest thing to do. I've grown up a member and have always had great examples around me of righteous gospel living. Despite that, I wandered and was lost for a number of years and found myself in a pretty deep, dark, depressing hole. Never before has the term "wickedness never was happiness" been more true for me. I thought that pursuing worldly things that looked fun would bring me the peace and happiness that we all want in our lives. I was wrong, of course, and learned that God gives us commandments to protect and bless us, and that it is only by obedience to His laws we find peace and security in this world and hope in the world to come. God often works through others to answer our prayers and mine came in the form of a scripture left for me by my younger brother. 2 Nephi 1:23. As we shake off our chains that bind us and put our trust in the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we can be free from the grasp of the adversary, obtain peace in our lives, and become joint-heirs with Christ in the presence of our Heavenly Father when we leave this world. Sounds good to me!

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith each and every day by being an example of the believers like the Apostle Paul recommends. I study the teachings and words of Jesus Christ, found in the New Testament and Book of Mormon, daily, and try to emulate Him through the way I treat others and myself. As I continually focus on others and look for opportunities to serve God's children, I find greater happiness and fulfillment than I could by doing anything else. I fall short all the time, but luckily we have a very kind and loving Heavenly Father who is patient with us. A Father who sent His son to make up the difference in the many areas we find ourselves lacking. I know that we can do all things through Christ.
