Hi I'm Tamara Tran

I was born in Seoul, Korea. I'm adopted. I'm a CFO. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love watching the sky for gorgeous sunsets and sunrises. I love sitting in the front of boat, listening to music, surrounded by my family as we glide across the lake. My favorite seasons are Spring and Fall, I love the 'bite' in the air and the sound of wind blowing through the Aspens. I love the scents of fresh dirt, rain and pine sol! I love to iron! My husband is a better chef than I'll ever hope to be. I'm a 2nd degree Black Belt. I've been married for 24 years. I have 2 children, a son serving in the Cambodia Phnom Penh Mission and a daughter in 9th grade. My husband and I sponsored all 7 of his immediate family members from Vietnam in 1991. In 2004 we created and co-founded our company which is named after our children. My 'bucket list' includes: skydiving, a pilots license and creating a foundation for women; which will teach business skills, entrepreneurship and provide women with career opportunities. I love jewelry and online shopping. I love chewy candy. I love to laugh. I'm an Optimist. One day I plan to write a musical that will uplift, bring joy and inspire others to "Come Unto Christ." I love service and humanitarian projects. My husband and I hope to someday serve a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

My adoption blessed me with the privilege of becoming a Naturalized U.S. Citizen & a pedigree of faithful Christian/Mormon Pioneer ancestors. As I've read and studied the Book of Mormon, and realized the many lives that were sacrificed in the actual battles for religious freedom I felt it was my responsibility to learn why so many were wiling to die to protect the sacred records which testify of the life, mission & teachings of our Savior. I'm a Mormon because I've asked God if the records of ancient prophets in the Book of Mormon are true. I've asked to know if Joseph Smith really did translate the Book of Mormon with the help of God. I've asked if God hears my prayers. I've received a personal answer to these questions. I know that God lives. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and that He literally gave up His life so that we may one day live again in the presence of God. I know that I'm not perfect and that I can't return to live with my Heavenly Father unless I accept Christs' gift of the Atonement and take upon myself His name and represent Him. I'm a Mormon because every Man who holds the Priesthood can trace their Priesthood Authority directly back to Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon because the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only church with the complete truth on the earth. I'm a Mormon because I'm a daughter of God. I know who I am and I am grateful for the peace & hope this Gospel brings, in an uncertain, confusing, and distracted world.

How I live my faith

During most of my adult life, I've had the privilege of working with the youth as I've served in various church callings working with teenagers and younger children. I love Youth Conferences and Girls Camps. I've served my city as a Planning Commission board member. My husband and I provide jobs for people within the community. I live my faith by sharing my testimony as I serve others. This Gospel is about relationships and loving our brothers and sisters as we act as a community family, who supports one another. Like everyone I've made mistakes and learned eternal lessons. As a result I've had many opportunities to repent and have gained a deeper understanding and appreciation for our Saviors's gift of the Atonement. I strive to live my faith by sharing the truths that I've learned along the way.
