Hi I'm Amber Stevenson

I grew up in Utah. I'm half Polynesian. I'm half British. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated High School in the Spring of 2013. I thought I was going to head off to college first before my mission, but the time came and I just felt that a mission was to come first. And now I have my call to the Japan, Fukuoka Mission and couldn't be more excited to spread the good news of this gospel!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in Utah Valley. I was raised Mormon, but I was converted like any other convert. When I was 14 I decided to read the Book of Mormon all the way through by myself. As a 14 year old, I didn't think much of it. I was going to read it just to say I read it. As I read more and more, there came a time when I realized that this in reality true. It's real. It is. This isn't just a book of stories or myths about imaginary people in an imaginary land. The Book of Mormon is about real people, and real prophets, who spoke and saw a very real Savior, even Jesus Christ. It's true! It sounds to good too be true, but it is good! And it's true! This gospel is both and more. The gospel was restored to this earth by the prophet Joseph Smith. There is truth on this earth once more. There is a loving Heavenly Father who knows you and loves you infinitely more than you can ever comprehend. This gospel is how you find out just how much.

How I live my faith

I've been in a lot of leadership callings as a teenager. I was the president of my class more than once and there were barely any seasons where I wasn't in a calling. But each calling was such a blessing to me personally! It taught me a lot about myself and helped me develop my own testimony of this gospel.
