Hi I'm Hanah

I'm an artist, a learner, a small-town girl, and I am a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

About Me

I am currently serving a full-time 18 month mission in England Manchester. I'm 21 years old and am working hard everyday to teach others and invite them to come unto our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I love to draw, learn, and read. Currently I am trying to learn how to play my ukelele. Children songs and Hymns mainly. I plan to return to BYU-Idaho after my mission. I'm serving a mission because I know that it's where Heavenly Father needs me to be. I know that his plan is better than mine. This gospel brings so much peace and comfort in my life and I desire that for others. I delight in the Scriptures. The Book of Mormon is a true record and I love the stories and the doctrines. I love my family. I have a mom, a dad, and a younger brother and sister. I know that we will be together forever.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were born into a Mormon families, met, and then had me and my two younger siblings. Being a Mormon is all i ever knew growing up. At around the age 12-14 I started to ask myself why I went to church and was the point of being LDS was. I felt like I needed a grand confirmation through the Holy Ghost to tell me that the LDS church was the right church and that it's gospel was correct. After trying to receive that confirmation through prayer and not getting it, I was a little distraught. But after thinking about the blessings that come from being a Mormon and how I felt peace and comfort in it's teachings, I realized that I didn't need a grand revelation. The truth of the gospel and in God's church has always been there and I always knew in my heart that this was the church I belonged and feel the most uplifted in. I know it as I continue to pray, study the scriptures, and heed the words of the prophet and other church leaders.

How I live my faith

I've previously had callings as various Young Women class presidencies throughout my teens, an index worker at BYU-I (which is helps with geneology and family history), and most recently, serving as a full-time missionary in the England Manchester Mission. I've found, that my faith really is just a way of life. I know that this is true. This is reality. I do my best everyday to live by my faith and knowledge in thought, word, and action. I study from the scriptures everyday, I pray, attend church meetings, and teach and testify about the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ everyday.
