Hi I'm Emele

Hi,I'm Emele and i'm from fiji island,I'm a convert, I'm serving a mission in America[TSM],and I love being a Mormon!!

About Me

I'm from fiji island [savusavu island] and Im 21 years of age i finished my high school level in saint bedes college my sch back home, and i was introduce to the church when i was 19 years old and i love being a member of the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints, i love listening to church musics,my favorite hobbies is to read historic stories, well coming to sports i get really hyper in playing any game but best game that i play the most is volly ball and rugby.NOW I've been called to serve in Uta Salt Lake City Temple Square mission and i love serving the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

Why i become a Mormon is that I've gone through a lot of churches and was Searching, which one is the Right one for me and so i started to pray about it,and suddenly two young men came to my house ask if i could listen or hear their message so i said yes sure no problems it was a very good day for me that day i really felt something in my heart that i knew that all the things that the two young men was talking about was true so i told them to come and teach me more, the main purpose that i got converted to the church is that i pray about the things I've learn and read the book of Mormon, while reading the book i just felt something that i never felt before ,and i love that feeling so much and i knew from that time that the things that i have learn is all true.so there are a lot of things that i got to learn more that i never have heard before eg,we have a modern PROPHET LIVING TODAY,and i got to understand why we're here on earth? and where we come from?and were we gonna go after this life?i just love the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. I just want to share my little quick testimony about the restored church on Earth, that I know that this is the true church on Earth without a doubt i know with all my heart that we have a living prophet, that His name is Thomas S. Monson,He was the one who called by God[our Eternal Father in Heaven]and I know that God and His son Jesus Christ once again establish the most true church back on earth as a same church in the beginning when Jesus Christ was on the earth [new testament]once again this is a marvelous blessing for each one of us on earth,I want to testify that Heavenly Father really loves us so much that He wants us to live with him for eternity, the most important thing is that only through his son Jesus Christ that we can be save, for eg the 5 principle of the doctrine 1st[Faith in Jesus Christ,2ndRepentence, Baptism by the remission of sin,Receiving of the Holy Ghost and Eduring to the END!!!!!].

How I live my faith

I love going to church every Sunday that i got to have a opportunity to be called to help out in teaching the Sunday school for English class and by doing these things back in my home branch i was able to learn more from each other and also it really keeps me strong in the church and also the most important one is that it keeps me grow more closer to heavenly Father,i really love being arround with members in the church because they just such a good people that they really showed Christ like, and that's how i'm really impressed about the church, having faith in Jesus Christ will surely show you and also answers your prayers in every where you go or be he will always provide for you,and how i know it because i try it myself and i made it because i have faith in Him and i love Him so much with all my MIND, HEART,MIGHT AND STRENGTH.

Can you tell me about Mormon customs: how you dress for church, what holidays you celebrate, etc.?

Emele
Members attending Sunday services will most likely be wearing their “Sunday best,” which may include suits, sport coats, and ties for the men and modest dresses or skirts for the women. Children also typically dress up for Sunday. Members of the Church celebrate Christmas and Easter, regarding these two events as the most spiritually significant days in history because of the birth, suffering, death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Church members also celebrate the regional and national holidays of the countries where they live. Church members also celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and similar events. Show more Show less
