Hi I'm Taylor

I'm a college student. I love life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in the Great Pacific Northwest. Currently I'm a college student studying Mechanical Engineering at BYU and loving it. I have one older brother, three younger sisters, and two loving parents. We've always watched out for each other and I love them all to death. I love watching films, making films, listening to music, playing music, sports, the outdoors, cooking, running, learning, traveling....there's simply no end to the things I want to try in life. I'm always up for having an adventure or experiencing something new.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it's the best thing I could ever do for myself. I've experienced so many blessings and have been able to see God work in my life so many times, both for my benefit and for the benefit of others. I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is God's church reestablished upon the earth today and that it is led by prophets and apostles who are called of God. I know the teachings of the Church are true teachings that make a huge difference in life. I know the Bible and the Book of Mormon are God's word. I love the inner peace that the Gospel brings to me and I hope all will have the opportunity to experience it. I know Jesus Christ lives and that he died for us and I know that through his Atonement we can do all things. I know God is very active in our lives and is willing to guide and direct us in our lives when we turn to him. I know all these things because I have received the confirmation of the Holy Ghost telling me that these things are true and I know that everyone can know the same through honest heartfelt prayer and study.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through who I am. I love helping people and I love meeting and getting to know new people. I'm an active member in a single's ward here in Provo. Currently, in my congregation I help out by co-leading a group of singles who get together every week to grow spiritually and have fun. It's the single persons equivalent of what is known as Family Home Evening, an evening every week where a family gets together to sing songs, have a spiritual lesson and have fun. Through leading this group I'm able to love and support my fellow members and together form good habits that will stick with us the rest of our lives. I've also been able to visit a care center about once a month to talk with the people who live there and share experiences. It's always a rewarding experience. Not too long ago I also had the chance to serve a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Denmark where I had the opportunity to share my beliefs with many people of that country in their own language. As I served I developed a deep love for the people in Denmark and made some life long friends. It was incredibly rewarding to see other's experience the same joy that I receive from the Gospel.
