Hi I'm Rachel

I grew up in a small town and now am living the dream in the big city. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised by two Chinese parents in the United States and am currently residing in California. I've had many opportunities in my life to travel the world and currently work for the Walt Disney Company. My life has always had a clash of cultures combining friends and family but in the best way possible. I play the violin and love to sing, but not in public....that's saved for the car! The Lord has lead me down so many wonderful paths and I can't wait to see what's next. The key is to have faith and trust in Him!

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that happiness isn't fully possible without the Lord by your side. I've had very low points in my own life where I wasn't doing what was right and it left me in a bad place. Since then, I've built myself back up with Heavenly Father's help and I couldn't be happier. Life is really a gamble, because we never know what's going to happen in the future and every single choice we make each day could affect our lives later. However, I do know that no matter what choice you make, God has an infinite love for each and every single one of us, which is something I strive to live by every single moment of every single day.

How I live my faith

Living the Gospel is no easy feat. You must try hard, and avoid temptation of a worldly lifestyle. For me, I try to help out the missionaries in my area, keep my friends, family and coworkers aware of my faith, and try to live it the best I can through example. The best way to show and express Christ-like actions and attitudes is through love and kindness. Though sometimes difficult, the pay off is very worth it. Scripture study has made an immense change in my life. I had to gain a testimony myself, and although I had the opportunity to grow up in the church, I did not take advantage of it until I was about 19. The Lord teaches us so many things in different way simply because we are different people. The trials I have gone through are comparatively easy to others. Through this I have learned to look for the many blessings I have been given and to not take them for granted. On top of that, it is very important to remember to stay positive in times of trials and conflict. Easier said than done, if we turn to the Savior, He will help and guide us through the hardship.
